A decade of dedication: evolving from a universal technology platform to targeted expertise across vertical industry
Since our inception, Shanghai ChemLab has focused on niche segments within the analytical instrumentation industry. With headquartered at the Marine Science and Technology Pioneer Park within the Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, company’s footprint has spread nationwide and set multiple service network across Shanghai, Beijing, Qingdao, Xi’an, Wuhan, Chengdu, and Guangzhou (currently under construction), supporting our ongoing phase of rapid expansion and commitment to delivering localized technical support and expertise to clients.
GenesisGEO, the company’s in-house independently developed matrix-array femtosecond laser ablation system, is a fully self-developed design instrument satisfying cutting-edge research needs. The system provides a continuously adjustable spot size ranging from 1 μm to 500 μm and precise laser energy, supporting both circular, rectangular and irregular flat-bottom craters. This system underpins frontier research and industrial advancement spanning geochemistry, planetary science, environmental science, life sciences, advanced materials and semiconductors.
With the official launch of the two new divisions, Shanghai ChemLab will advance its general core technology into in-depth service. Focusing on the two national strategic emerging industries — semiconductor and medical diagnosis, we will deliver customized and integrated exclusive solutions.
Semiconductor Division
Consolidate domestic analytical foundation, and safeguard independent development of China’s Chip
Semiconductors lie at the heart of all modern electronic devices and serve as the cornerstone of contemporary information technology, earning the reputation of "oil of the digital age". Semiconductor materials are rapidly evolving from conventional silicon-based materials toward wide-bandgap materials such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN).
Currently, the semiconductor inspection industry is confronted with multiple core bottlenecks. Traditional VPD-ICP-MS is only applicable to silicon wafers decomposable by HF vapor, and fails to process wide-bandgap and compound semiconductors such as SiC, GaN, GaAs and InP. High-end equipment for micro-area composition analysis remains long monopolized by overseas manufacturers, generating an urgent demand for domestic substitution. In addition, existing instruments cannot simultaneously acquire multi-dimensional datasets covering elemental composition, trace impurities and crystalline defects, which generally hinders the R&D and mass production of semiconductor materials.
Focusing on proprietary matrix-array femtosecond laser ablation technology, Shanghai ChemLab’s semiconductor division develops dedicated complete inspection equipment and integrated solutions across the entire semiconductor industrial chain. We are facilitating the company’s strategic transition from a research instrument supplier to a high-end industrial semiconductor equipment manufacturer, so as to effectively address prevailing industry pain points.
